Mateo Mohammad Farzaneh

Academic Profile

Farzaneh teaches modern Middle Eastern and Islamic world history. His research focuses on the role of Shi'ite ulama in the Constitutional Revolution of 1906-11. "Rational Shi‘ism, Pragmatic Leadership, and the Success of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution (1905/6-1911): the Case of Mulla Muhammad Kazim Khurasani," is the title of his forthcoming book, which is followed by another book about the positive role of the ulama during in nineteenth century Iran.
