Academic Profile
Ida Meftahi is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto’s Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, with a minor in Drama. Through a multidisciplinary historiographical exploration of the discourse on dance, Meftahi’s dissertation offers a genealogy of modern Iranian biopolitics. Meftahi has presented and published in fields ranging from Iranian and Middle Eastern Studies to Dance Studies.
